No. Deepcut uses standard payments via Stripe. No blockchain, no tokens, no wallets. Just buying and owning music — the way it should be.

Yes. What you buy, you can download — no restrictions, no locks, no expiration date. Play it, copy it, put it on your phone, do whatever you want. Your music, your rules.

What do Digger, Crew, and Vault mean?

Diggers are people who find and curate music — and get paid for it. Think of that friend with the best taste, but they actually earn from it. Crews are teams of artists and producers who release together and split revenue fairly — no label needed. Your Vault is your personal music shelf: everything you buy is yours. Forever.

When a Digger recommends a track and someone buys it through that recommendation, the Digger earns a share. No influencer nonsense — just good taste that pays off.

How is Deepcut different from Spotify?

On Spotify you rent music — cancel and it’s all gone. On Deepcut you buy individual tracks and own them. Forever. Artists earn per purchase, not fractions of a cent per stream. And instead of algorithms, you discover music through real people.

Bandcamp is a website where you can buy music. Deepcut is an app you open and start right away: swipe through tracks like TikTok, real people curate for you, buy with a single tap. Plus Crews for artists who want to collaborate, and a Vault that organizes your collection. On Deepcut, artists get the biggest share — transparent and fair.

How much does a track cost on Deepcut?

The artist sets the price. Typically €1 to €15 per track or release. There’s no subscription and no hidden fees. You only pay for what you want to buy.

Sign up for the waitlist as an artist or become a Founding Member. The first 50 partner artists help shape the platform and get early access to the beta. You keep full control — over pricing, releases, and your fans.

How much do I earn per sale as an artist?

Accepted Answer

Transparency first: Deepcut always takes 10% of the sale price. On top of that come payment processing fees (Stripe, Apple Pay) of ~3–5%. If a song was sold through a Digger, they get 5%. You as the artist get the rest — typically ~80–82% (or ~75–77% with a Digger). No hidden deductions, no label cuts, no advances.

Do I need a label to release on Deepcut?

No. Deepcut is built for independent artists. You upload your music yourself, set your own price, and keep 100% of your rights. No contract, no exclusivity deal.

How do payouts work?

Accepted Answer

Via Stripe Connect. Every sale is settled directly — the money doesn’t flow through us, it goes straight to your Stripe account. Payouts happen regularly, transparently, and with no minimum thresholds.

What happens with my money as a Founding Member?

Accepted Answer

Every euro goes directly into building the platform: company formation, app development, servers, App Store launch, and the first 50 partner artists. No investors, no VCs — just people who believe in the idea. Everything transparent in our Roadmap. Your contribution does not establish any ownership stake in the company.

Do I get equity as a Founding Member?

No. Your contribution is support, not an investment. In return, you get exclusive rewards like early access, credits, badges, or physical merch — but no company shares, voting rights, or profit participation.

Can I withdraw my contribution?

Accepted Answer

Yes. You have a 14-day right of withdrawal under German distance selling regulations. Beyond that: if Deepcut doesn’t launch within 18 months, you’ll receive a proportional refund for undelivered services.
